Here is why booking with us will help make your experience a super one:
The 2026 "Bloom Calendar"
If you're wondering where to go, here is the predicted Superbloom schedule so you can plan accordingly!
February/March: Anza-Borrego (The Desert Glow).
Late March/April: Antelope Valley & Carrizo Plain (The Orange & Purple Carpets).
May: Central Coast (The Coastal Wildflowers).
Chase the Color, Not a Hotel
Don’t get stuck in traffic. While others from LA or San Diego are waking up at 4:00 AM to drive from the city, you can bed waking up inside the bloom, coffee in hand, watching the sunrise hit the poppies. When you rent an RV with RV Rentals Way of Life you have the local advantage. We have two convenient pick-up locations to make your experience easier.
Hemet Base: You’re minutes away from the Diamond Valley Lake wildflower trail, famous for its "flower sea" of blue dick flowers and California poppies.
Coachella Base: You are the literal doorstep to Joshua Tree and a short cruise down the 86 to Anza-Borrego.
The "Diamond Valley" Loop (Hemet Spotlight)
Diamond Valley Lake is one of the most underrated spots because it's strictly managed.
- Golden Village Palms RV Resort (The "Luxury" Pick)
- Distance to DVL: 5.8 miles (approx. 10 mins).
- Benefit: This is a high-end resort with over 1,000 sites. It’s perfect for first-time RVers because the sites are level, easy to pull into, and full-service (30/50 amp).
Superbloom Perk: After a dusty day of hiking the Wildflower Trail, your guests can come back to 3 heated pools and a spa.
Lake Hemet Campground (The "Nature" Pick)
- Distance to DVL:Approx. 30 minutes (up Hwy 74).
- Benefit: This is true mountain-and-lake camping. It has 257 RV sites and offers a much more "outdoorsy" vibe than the city resorts is a high-end resort with over 1,000 sites.
Superbloom Perk: While DVL has the poppies, Lake Hemet has the alpine wildflowers and a chance to see bald eagles. It’s a great "home base" if you want to explore both Hemet and Idyllwild
Casa Del Sol RV Resort (The "Convenient" Pick)
- Distance to DVL: 4.5 miles (approx. 8 minutes)
- Benefit: Located right in Hemet, it's very close to grocery stores and supplies - perfect if you're a forgetful camper who forgot their bug spray or just always want to be prepared!
Superbloom Perk: The Sunset Recovery beats the other Hemet campgrounds because its atmosphere and location is suitable for a convenient and peaceful post Superbloom hike.
Pro Tip: Diamond Valley Lake is notoriously dusty. Book a trailer with double door entry so that the secondary entrance acts as your "mud room". The simple, yet convenient feature will instantly boost your experience.
The Desert Trifecta (Coachella Spotlight)
From Coachella, a three-day loop is incredibly easy:
Joshua Tree (South Entrance): Only 30 minutes away. The Cottonwood Springs area is usually the first to pop.
Box Canyon Road: A stunning, winding drive toward the Salton Sea that often has hidden pockets of desert sunflowers.
Anza-Borrego: Head south to Borrego Springs to see the desert floor turn purple and yellow.
Where to Camp: Recommend Palm Canyon Hotel & RV Resort for full hookups or Borrego Palm Canyon Campground for a more rugged feel.
Pro Tip: The metal "Sky Art" sculptures in Galleta Meadows look incredible when framed by the wildflowers.
RV-Specific Tips for Flower Chasers
Book Campsites Early: Sites near superblooms fill up months in advance.
Tank Prep: Fill your fresh water tank if you plan on "boondocking" (dry camping) near the flower fields.
The "Leave No Trace" Pledge: Remember that RVers are stewards of the land. Stay on the designated roads and always clean up after yourself :)
